Reality check.

Back in Singapore after 3 months in the states.

Kind of miss the time back in wildwood and the traveling journey.

Thinking back of how carefree, relax the lifestyle in the states is.

School term started

I'm officially a year 3 SMU student.

It felt really good to see my family and friends when i got back.

A good news on hand

Got back my exchange application results.

The next stop that I'll be heading will be: Istanbul (TURKEY).

This would mean i can meet my Macedonians friends like Ana, Adri, Zoran , Bagel etc, next year.

Can't wait to go overseas again.

HOLA, ZDRAVO, Kak de'la.

That's hello and how are you in different languages.

Been in wildwood-new jersey for almost 1 month odd, hitting 2 months soon.

Definitely, it's a unforgettable exposure and experience to the many different cultures.

Having been away from home alone for so long and for the first time in my 21 years of life , I learnt much.

I think, yet not positive that I have become way much more independent as compared to previously.

Once again, too many late nights.

Been having sore throat and losing my voice.

Just a quick question to myself: "Will i miss wildwood & Morey's Pier on my last day of work -18th July".

That's a good question to ponder.

Managed to get some of my bidding modules settled.

SMU bidding is really a chore.

Been to almost all the major attraction rides of Morey's Piers.

Exciting, Nervous, Scary, Thrilling.

Right now,

If anyone ask me to take any kind of Roller Coaster,

My immediate answer would be " cool beans, let's do it(:"

The Water parks @ Morey's Pier are pretty good as compared to Singapore.

Come to think of it,

Singapore's waterpark and amusement park are BORING.

Mum was looking frantically for me for the past few days since I haven been skyping with my parents for quite a while.

Took a short trip with a group of friends to niagara falls and NYC-the big apple.

The lifestyle @ NYC resembles slightly to Singapore city life.

Niagara Falls was magnificent, something you never get to experience and see in Singapore.

Managed to take tons of nice pictures of the falls even though it was a tough job as water was hitting right into my face while we were on the ferry.

Well, to the myth that is behind the falls,

Praying hard that i get my exchange application to Paris next Jan,

It'll then be another traveling period for me to see the HUGE BIG WORLD.

It has been exactly 3 weeks since i left singapore for USA

Time flies, maybe yes, maybe no.

So much of the much uncertainty.

Well,

If you were to ask if i'm coping well,

The answer is YES.

Definitely, missing Singapore food .

Learnt to be way more independent.

Cooked my own meals, bring my own clothes to the laundry.

I do miss my family & friends and even that little JOCKEY(:

Made new friends with people from different parts of the world.

And the next thing we know is that it is time to bid goodbye.

Indeed, Goodbye are the hardest word to say.

Made many nice , friendly friends from thailand.

They are AWESOME!

Going to be missing them .

Hopefully, the bangkok trip that we 're going to organize will work out.

Work has been pretty normal

It was INSANE! totally INSANE!

We went to their pub once and the club-Lunar!

Music was good, drinks were cheap. But the crowd was bad( prolly cos summer haven really officially kick in).

Thanks to the cheap drinks,

One thing about wildwood.

The weather is really cold here.

My hands are always freezing, especially in the night.

Hopefully, it gets warmer, and @ a temperature just nice(:

Been on a shopping craze as well whenever I get off days

Atlantic City seems never ending.

I don't seemed to be able to shop them all

One thing great is that the factory outlets are all located @ Atlantic City!

But an hour bus ride from Wildwood to Atlantic City!

Crossing my fingers that I won't be putting on much of weight after the 3 months!

Had been eating junk food since I can't cook and am too lazy to cook @ times.

It got me really thinking.'

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's open admission that PAP wards are favoured for HDB upgrading exercises has touched a raw nerve among netizens.

His admission came as a reply to a university student living in the Hougang Single-Member Constituency (SMC) ward who asked if he could pay less tax since the opposition-held ward does not enjoy upgrading programmes.

Since this story was first posted, reaction has been swift with over 1,500 Facebook shares and 150 comments. The majority were highly critical of PM Lee's stand.

The highest-rated comment came from Yahoo! user Chia, who posted, "Upgrading is not delivered solely based on policies. It is driven by money from the reserves. The money comes from the people and not from PAP."

He added that, "It (upgrading) is a national building programme. A nation does not belong to any party but the people."

Another Yahoo! user, Davido, said, "I can't believe the PM said that, my only respect left for him is that he is candid enough to admit not all wards are treated equally."

User VKH was also appalled at the PM's comments.

He wrote, "I thought that as PM, he was there to represent ALL the people, without favour or preference. He is not the PM of just those he voted for, but for each and every Singapore citizen, including those who did not vote for him or his party... How can the PM say that if you vote for PAP, you get nice chocolate cake and coffee, but if you vote for other party you only get water and biscuit?"

The furious reaction comes a day after fourth-year engineering student Seah Yin Hwa asked PM Lee why residents living in Hougang SMC are penalised for picking "a 'Teochew nang' (dialect for Teochew person) who doesn't wear a white uniform"

When asked by PM Lee on how he was penalised, the 25-year-old Seah said, "When it comes to upgrading, what is being told to us is that we don't have the funds to actually go ahead with lift upgrading, as well as shelters to the bus stops. When I look across the road to Aljunied GRC, they have everything, " reported The Straits Times.

Paraphrasing the question posed, PM Lee said that what Mr Seah meant is why opposition wards are not treated at least as good, or maybe even better than the PAP wards.

PM Lee's reply was, "The answer is that there has to be a distinction. Because the PAP wards supported the Government and the policies which delivered these good things."

He said that while basic goods such roads, transportation, housing, healthcare and defence apply toSingaporeans, the extras — which come down to the upgrading programmes — is a national programme.

"Between the people who voted and supported the programme and the government, and the people who didn't, I think if we went and put yours before the PAP constituencies, it would be an injustice," PM Lee told the 1,200 students who were attending a Ministerial Forum organised by the National University of Singapore (NUS) Students' Political Association. .

In response to PM Lee, Seah cheekily asked if he could pay less tax and maybe "take one or two years off my NS?", which drew laughter and applause from the audience.

But PM Lee said that this is not possible because the SAF, defence, taxes and all the facilities which have been provided, are enjoyed by every Singaporean.

Rounding off his reply, PM Lee said, "But you can do something about it, you know. You don't have to keep voting for people not in white-on-white."

PM Lee explains ministerial salaries

The contentious issue of ministerial salaries was also discussed at the forum after a Nanyang Technological University (NTU) accountancy student brought it up, comparing the salaries of leaders from Singapore and the United States.

"The US president is actually paid less than a Cabinet minister in Singapore. I'm sure we agree his job is a lot tougher than our Cabinet ministers," said the student.

In his response, PM Lee said that US President Barack Obama may be earning less than a Singaporean minister, but the American system is not without its flaws.

For example, he highlighted that the US had different ways of rewarding its presidents and that the low salary of the president had suppressed salaries down the line.

Explaining his first point, PM Lee said that former US presidents are involved in money-spinning book and lecture tours after they step down.

"Retired US presidents go on book tours, they write books, they are paid US$10 million (S$13 million) advance, they get somebody to help them write a tome and they make a lecture tour…Every lecture (by former president) Bill Clinton: US$100,000 to US$200,000 for half an hour.

"That's the system. I think that's not a good system for us. We don't want ministers to retire and go on lecture tours."

Touching on his second point, PM Lee said the low salary of US presidents adversely impacted the rest of the civil service down the line.

"Because the president's pay being set at a level which is not quite right, all the rest of the civil service and government pay in the US system has to take dressing from there and come down…and come down," he said.

PM Lee stressed that Singapore's ministerial pay structure was one that works.

But when asked if salaries should still be pegged to the private sector given the many candidates taken from the civil service and unions, he replied, "The reason I can get good people from the Government and the unions is that I have a pay system which is working properly.

"People do not enter politics to get rich but neither will they enter politics and as a result, they and their family will become poor."

He added, "It is something which is not easy to accept emotionally but is the right thing for Singapore. If you want the system to work for the long term, you must be honest about it. What do I pay for? I pay for the importance of the job and how difficult it is to do."

School's been a mess

Struggling to keep up with it

We're are like being led by the nose by all the constraints and expectations of our society, especially Singapore

During one of the Gender and family module, my prof shared with us the story of "Nujood"

Can you imagine getting married and divorced at the age of 10?

Exactly, this was what happened to Nujood.

The astonishing story of Nujood Ali, the 10-year-old Yemeni child bride who bucked her culture by demanding a divorce from her abusive husband, left me feeling a combination of anger and admiration.

I was angry that any society could place a third-grader in that nightmare, but I was also thrilled that Nujood, a child who still likes to watch "Tom and Jerry" cartoons and play with dolls, had the moxie to extricate herself.

As New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof wrote last week, and Glamour magazine wrote last year, Nujood was married off by her parents to a man three times her age, who vowed to wait for sex until Nujood had had her first period, but instead raped her on their wedding night. Using her bread money to hire a taxi to take her to the local courthouse one day, Nujood was lucky enough to run into a lawyer who agreed to represent her for free. "I hate the night," she told the lawyer.

Nujood's memoir , "I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced," a best-seller in France, was just published in this country.

Besides making my stomach flip, Nujood's story also made me think about how childhood is stolen or simply lost, not just in Yemen, but in many cultures, including our own. We love to say in the United States, as we have for generations, that children grow up too fast these days -- and it's true, given that 7.1 percent of kids are having sex before age 13.

Besides their constant exposure to sex, there's pressure to build a resume early on in order to get into a good school, which requires excelling at all things while also developing a passion for baseball or quantum physics or gardening and then being able to talk about it coherently. (If not to try to get a leg up for their babies, why else are those "educational" videos that my colleague Ria Misra recently wrote about so popular among parents?) Then there are the legions of children suffering from adult diseases such as Type II diabetes.

Growing up in America is now defined by a continuum, where age is blurred and there's no clearly defined period when children inhabit a world and culture separated from adults.

And at the other end of the continuum, adults these days don't ever fully seem to grow up. Perhaps it's because we try to compensate for being on the fast-track as kids by searching for that lost childhood. A couple of generations ago, people graduated from high school or college, got married, and set up housekeeping on their own. But now it's not uncommon for overgrown kids to move back in with their parents at age 26. Or there's my case, where a few years back I went to visit my mom and dad with my new baby and, as it got later, wondered when my mom was going to put the baby to bed. Suddenly I remembered, Oh, I'm the mom! Just to make it clear, I engaged in that magical thinking in my 40s, when I had been an adult, at least chronologically, for 20 years.

The stories I've been hearing lately of parents partying with their college-age kids down at the fraternity house or the fact that my 4-year-old daughter and I dress much the same in leggings and boots are other examples of the same phenomenon.

Children and adults in other countries are mushed together, too, but for different reasons. Nujood wasn't married off because her parents thought it was a great idea; they needed the dowry--roughly $750 to feed their large family. They also considered the frequency of rape and kidnapping of young girls in Yemen, including another of their daughters, and thought a husband would keep Nujood safe.

It's hard for me to imagine my most adult-like friends acting more bravely than Nujood. But this little girl paid a heavy price: Nujood got her divorce, but she still lost her youth.

Frustrated single Singaporeans are turning to social escorts to escape a grilling by relatives. (AFP Photo)

If you’re single this Chinese New Year, you’re probably not looking forward to this week’s festivities.

It’s hard to enjoy that reunion feast with nosy relatives relentlessly dissecting your non-existent love life and wondering why you still haven’t found someone to settle down with.

For some Singaporeans, enough is enough. Tired of facing the firing squad of probing questions, frustrated singles are opting for an easier way out.

Their solution? Getting help from dating agencies, casual friends and even hiring social escorts to pose as romantic partners — for a day, or even a couple of hours.

David, a 29-year-old marketing executive tells My Paper that he shuns long-term relationships and prefers to date casually. He even brings his dates on Chinese New Year family visits to avoid prying questions.

“I just take one of them along for these events to shut my relatives up. The next time I meet my relatives, I just tell them that we broke up,” he said.

According to three out of four escort agencies, companions increase by a whopping 30 to 50 per cent during the festive season.

The owner of Singapore Model Escorts, who only wants to be known as William, said, “(Our make clients’) key concern is they don’t want girls to wear short skirts or look sexy. They should dress conservatively.”

One of his social escorts, Kari, who is in her 20s, posed as a girlfriend of a working professional at his family reunion dinner last year. The pair only met an hour before the gathering to corroborate details like how they met and how long they had been dating.

Kari, who works as a bank executive by day, said she pulled of a convincing act in front of her client’s 30 relatives at a Chinese restaurant.

“As we both worked at a bank, we told (his relatives) that we met at work,” she explained. ” They even told us that we look good together.”

Kari said, “I got paid a lot just to socialise and that’s the best I could’ve asked for. The guy wasn’t too bad looking, too.”

The social escort of two years got paid S$1,600 for that job.

She said she has received many professional requests to meet friends and family this festive season.

A representative for escort agency Vie Models said, “The booking fee is higher during this time because these escorts are mostly Chinese and would take on assignments only if the pay is very attractive.”

While he said the agency raises its rates by roughly 25 to 50 per cent per hour during this period, he declined to reveal the actual figures.

According to Mr Jason Lim, the owner of Metro Touch Escorts, a premium Singaporean social escort is typically defined as an attractive university graduate in her 20s. These escorts can earn anything from S$5,000 to a staggering S$20,000 for a three-hour session at a reunion dinner.

“The cost depends on the girl, the location, the duration, how many people she has to meet at the dinner and whether she is required to drink,” he added.

Dating agencies are also seeing a surge in demand at this time of the year.

One dating agency, Lunch Actually, sees a 15 to 20 per cent increase in demand for its services in the period leading up to Chinese New Year.

Ms Violet Lim, 30, the agency’s chief executive, said, “Chinese New Year is a time when they feel more pressured as they will be meeting family members who will probably ask them about their marital status. This makes them more open to finding out about dating opportunities and platforms.”

Those who are unwilling to spend or uncomfortable with the idea choose to skip town just to avoid facing a grilling by relatives.

Ashley, a 24-year-old public relations executive, said she even got a guy friend to pose as her boyfriend three years ago.

“I don’t mind getting someone to pose as my boyfriend. I’ll probably have to find someone else next time but, this year, I’m getting out of town,” she said.

A disturbing video has surfaced on the Internet, showing a man trying to train a small poodle to beg on its hind legs. When the dog is unable to keep standing, he punches it, slams it against a door and tosses it around like a ragdoll.

After each round of punishment, he props the stunned animal up again and repeats the process of 'training' it to stand once more, shouting at it in Cantonese and threatening to hit it once more.

Eventually the battered puppy just lies still from the shock, whereupon he dangles it by its front limbs.

The video clip was apparently found on the floor at KLCC shopping centre in Malaysia. Due to its graphic nature, the video will not be shown on STOMP.

STOMPer Trinitrophenol wrote on the video:

"Yet another animal cruelty video.

"A pen drive containing the video clip was found on the floor at KLCC shopping centre.

"Throughout the clip the man is forcing the poor dog to stand and slaps it so hard that it 'flew'.

"He also yanks the dog up by the dog's leg and slams it on the door."

STOMPer Alicia also commented on the vicious 'training' regimen:

"This man bashed his dog for a full 15 minutes to make it stand up on its hind legs.

"Why does Earth have people like him, who get a poodle as a pet and then brutally beat it up when it just can't stand on its hind legs?

"Are all dogs even supposed to be standing on their hind legs?

"Is the SPCA able to do anything and save this dog from all the beatings?"

I'm sure we were both happy that we could get the BB issue fixed.

Had a quick jog together with my sister.

The feeling of completing the run was fantastic!

Sebaceous Cyst

Two days back,

Went to the clinic to get this Sebaceous Cyst removed from my back.

The whole process took like 30 minutes.

It wasn't as pain as i expected (:

The only slight, but bearable pain was the injection that the doctor gave around the cyst.

Now,

I finally know what's inside that one cyst that had always been on my back.

It looks like some swollen pimple before removal.

Forgotten to shoot a picture of that cyst that had been with me for years before i got it removed.

Google and found one picture which resembles mine the closest.

Mine was an uninfected sebaceous cyst

So it was a pretty optional choice,

But it looks damn UGLY!

and off it go!

Going to get the stitch removed in 10 days time, hopefully it won't hurt(:

Came across marriages and decided to google it.

Ghost marriages , known as "Minghun" is a marriage when one or both parties are deceased. This is more commonly found in Chinese tradition and Sudan.

In Chinese tradition, a ghost marriage (also known as a Minghun or spirit marriage) is a marriage in which one or both parties are deceased.

3 main reasons why people carry these out:

1)Living, unmarried daughters

( Not only did the Chinese customs concerning death greatly burden the family, but an unmarried daughter became a source of great embarrassment and concern. In Charlotte Ikels "Parental Perspectives on the Significance of Marriage" she reports, "Traditionally, girls who did not marry were regarded as a threat to the entire family and were not allowed to continue living at home. Even in contemporary Hong Kong, I was told that unmarried women are assumed to have psychological problems. Presumably no normal person would remain unmarried voluntarily".^[17] For girls that did in fact choose to remain unmarried, "bride-initiated spirit marriage" (or a ghost marriage initiated by a living bride) was a successful "marriage-resistance practice"^[18] that allowed them to remain single while still being integrated into a lineage. However, it did come with some negative connotations, being called a "fake spirit-marriage", or referred to as "marrying a spirit tablet", and a way to avoid marriage)

2)Continuing the family line

(If a son died before marriage, his parents arranged a ghost marriage in order to provide him with progeny to continue the lineage and give him his own descendants.^[20] "A man in China does not marry so much for his own benefit as for that of the family: to continue the family name; to provide descendants to keep up the ancestral worship; and to give a daughter-in-law to his mother to wait on her and be, in general, a daughter to her".^[21] A living bride was preferable as a spouse for their deceased son, but if unavailable, a suitable marriage could be set up with a young girl who had recently died.^[22] The ceremony itself took on characteristics of both a marriage and a funeral, with the spirit of the deceased bride being ‘led’ by a medium or priest, while her body is transferred from her grave to be laid next to her husband.^[23]

If the family was "suitably rich to tempt a [living] girl,"^[24] the ghost marriage might also profit them with the asset of having a daughter-in-law. Since a daughter is not considered "a potential contributor to the lineage into which she is born," but rather "it is expected that she will give the children she bears and her adult labor to the family of her husband",^[25] the wife of a deceased son would benefit her husband’s family by becoming a caregiver in their home.^[26]

Once the deceased son had a wife, the family could adopt an heir, or a "grandson"^[22] to continue on the family line. The purpose of the daughter-in-law was not to produce offspring, as she was to live a chaste life, but she became the "social instrument" to enable the family to adopt.^[27] The family preferred to adopt patrilineally-related male kin,^[28] usually through a brother assigning one of his own sons to the lineage of the deceased.^[29] The adoption was carried out by writing up a contract, which was then placed under the dead man’s tablet.^[30] As an adopted son, his duties were to make ancestral offerings on his birth and death dates, and he was additionally "entitled to inherit his foster father’s share of the family estate)

3)Additionally, in the days of immigration, ghost marriages were used as a means to "cement a bond of friendship between two families

So how do they go about with the marriage?

If a family wishes to arrange a ghost marriage, they may consult with a matchmaker of sorts: In a Cantonese area of Singapore "there is in fact a ghost marriage broker’s sign hung up in a doorway of a Taoist priest’s home. The broker announces that he is willing to undertake the search for a family which has a suitable deceased member with a favourable horoscope."^[39]

Others do not use the aid of any priest or diviner, but believe that the groom the ghost-bride has chosen "[will] somehow identify himself."^[40] Typically, the family lays a red envelope (usually used for gifts of money) as bait in the middle of the road. They then take hiding, and when the envelope is picked up by a passer-by, they come out and announce his status of being the chosen bridegroom.^[41]

China star dies in plastic surgery accident

4-year-old Wang Bei went under the knife on Nov 15 -- only to be the victim of a plastic surgery accident. This has sparked concerns about the safety of plastic surgery not only in China, but also amongst netizens here.

Fans of the star initially thought the rumour was false, and some said she was doing it to attract attention.

After the announcement by the health bureau of Wuhan city, netizens have become concerned about the safety of plastic surgery and also about the low level of regulation the industry has in China.

"I wonder who would dare to get plastic surgery after hearing about this tragedy,” a netizen commented.

Another labelled the rising star's death as inevitable: "I hope the tragedy can raise people’s awareness on the slack supervision of the plastic surgery industry."

Other netizens also commented the star was already beautiful, and that it "was a terrible way to die". Users of a local forum were also astounded by the huge demand for plastic surgery in China, and said the procedure sounded "horrifying".

Over three million people in China go under the knife every year, and doctors not trained in plastic surgery are carrying out the procedures to meet the high demand.

Wang Bei rose to fame when she took part in "Super Girl", a popular talent contest in China five years ago, but did not win. She also had a starring role in a very successful television show, Dream China.

This year, Wang Bei wanted to further improve her chances at stardom. So she turned to a procedure called 'facial bone-grinding surgery' which would slim her jawbone.

However, during the procedure, the surgeon sliced a blood vessel and was unable to stop the blood flow. The blood flooded her lungs and she suffocated to death.

It was later announced to be an 'anaesthetic accident', and investigations are currently ongoing.

Her mother, who was waiting to undergo the same procedure after her daughter, is now recovering from her operation in Zhong’ao Cosmetic Surgery Hospital. She only found out about her daughter's death 24 hours after the incident.

Singaporean Youths acting impulsively

This isn't a pretty good news to begin with.

Another incident involving the attack of a 26-year-old auxiliary policeman by a group of youths.

First, it was the downtown east murder case of Darren Ng

followed by slashing incidents at Bukit Panjang

followed by slashing incident at Ang Mo Kio

NOW,

It's the bashing of an auxiliary policeman by a group of youths.

A 26-year-old auxiliary policeman bumped into a youth on the way to the supermarket. For this, he was beaten up by 7 youngsters. STOMPer Toomuch feels severe punishment is needed to make an example of them.

This is the latest in a series of violent attacks involving gangs of youths that have occurred all over Singapore, in places as diverse as Bukit Panjang and Ang Mo Kio .

A group of youths was also found with a pair of concealed choppers at a Pasir Ris chalet , while two teenagers have been placed in a Reformative Training Centre for knifing fellow students .

Although these incidents are believed to be unrelated, they were all caused by trivial events such as staring and arguments.

STOMPer Toomuch wrote:

"These violent incidents involving youths are seriously getting out of hand.

"Time and again we hear of incidents where members of the public are getting targeted by youngsters spoiling for a fight.

"This time, an innocent auxiliary policeman just passing by was attacked, because he was walking in the opposite direction of a group of youngsters. He tried to squeeze past them, and was beaten bloody for it.

"These youths have no respect for the law and are just out to pick fights with people in public.

"We need to arrest these people and really make an example of those caught by caning or jailing them. That's the only way they will learn that the law is not to be messed around with."

STOMPer Gao Luck also commented:

"Yet again I heard of another case of a gang fight at Teck Whye over the radio.

"Come on, when will all these attacks stop?"

I'm pretty sure these cases have alerted the government and the public.

And i believe, the police is stepping in and are indeed putting in more effort to prevent such incidents from occurring.

So many lives gone as a result

People committing these mistakes, will only realise it with time, hopefully.

For some, it will be too late by then.

To add on to the death toll,

A 12 year old girl was found dead at Hougang HDB AREA

She was physically disabled and police suspected foul play in this case.

The maid attending to the girl was brought into questioning.

Recently a video of this young girl senselessly killing a little rabbit had appeared on the Internet. In the video, a young girl with long hair dressed in white abused and killed the little rabbit. She put a piece of thick glass plate on top of the the little rabbit and then sat on top of the glass plate. Using her body weight she crashed the little rabbit to death. Her 2 female friends watched and laughed when she committed the crime.

Warning! The video is graphic, mature audience only!

The entire video showed one pretty girl brutally killing a little rabbit, and two other girls sitting there, watching and laughing. They all spoke Sichuan dialect, sounded like Chengdu locals.

At 1’36” of the video, the girl said “softly sit on it”, then she put the rabbit on the table and sat on it. “So soft!” she said. The rabbit jumped and fell on the floor.

The girl put the rabbit back onto the table and placed a glass plate on top of it. At 2’16” of the video, she sat on top of the glass plate and said, “Sit on the skull… does it know I am sitting on it?” The sound of things being crushed…

The rabbit killer moved around her body sitting on the glass plate while humming a tune. At 3’03” of the video, she stood up and lifted up the glass plate, poor rabbit was dead.

At 3’35” of the video, she sat on the glass plate again, still humming, and the others just laughed. The girl lifted both of her legs off the floor and said, “ha I am using my entire body weight!”

Another cruelty incident that happened to the poor dog

STOMPer fellow stomper was shocked and outraged by this video of a youngster abusing a dog till it died. The cruel video, posted on Facebook, has sparked a furore among netizens.

STOMP has not posted the video due to its graphic nature.

The video apparently shows a young Chinese guy using a plastic bottle to suffocate the dog.

Comments from other netizens also suggest that he might have made the dog inhale fumes.

Throughout the ordeal, the dog was chained to a pole by its feet.

The youngster also seemed to be thoroughly enjoying what he was doing, showing his smiling face intermittently in the video.

Fellow stomper says:

"I think this video really needs to be publicized so that the perpetrator can be severely punished.

"I hope relevant authorities will take action soon."

Yet another slashing incident

Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy who slashed a youth in Ang Mo Kio on Thursday.

According to The New Paper (TNP), two youths got into a loud dispute outside a 24-hour fast-food restaurant at Block 448, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.

After shoving each other, one of them took out a knife and slashed the other on the right shoulder in front of shocked patrons.

The 17-year-old victim, who left a blood trail where the attack took place, was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Madam Lim, 60, a newspaper vendor, told TNP, “I saw the victim getting into the ambulance. His arm, from his shoulder to his elbow was covered in blood.”

Residents said that two groups of youths were shouting at each other before the incident.

According to police, the victim and attacker are acquainted. The spokesman told TNP: “Preliminary investigations suggest the incident is not gang related.”

Some people Yahoo! Singapore spoke to were shocked when told about the latest slashing.

Said events manager Eric Tan, 36, “It sounds like slashing is becoming the norm for youngsters these days. Hopefully the police will come down hard on these teenagers.”

Salesman Tony Soo, 28, agreed. “Teenagers these days are badly behaved. For this incident to happen in broad daylight is a big concern. What are their parents doing? Can you imagine what would have happened if there were kids around the area when the slashing took place?”

The Ang Mo Kio slashing is the third incident after a teen was slashed to death at Downtown East and six people were involved in the Bukit Panjang clash.

updates on Downtown East Murder

It was found out that the Downtown East murder:

Darren belonged to gang & targeted by rival thugs

And it was not really a staring incident in fact.

Darren Ng's murder was gang-related , police revealed on Nov 10. Online sources have gone one step further to mention that Darren, who was also in a gang, had been 'eyed' by another gang before the fatal clash at Downtown East .

According to a report in Lianhe Wanbao yesterday (Nov 11), it was reported that an online source who claims to know the 'truth' divulged that the clash involved people from two different gangs. One of the gangs claims Downtown East as its territory.

The report also mentions before the clash, there was already bad blood between the two gangs; and Darren had already been 'eyed' by one member of the rival group much earlier.

In Lianhe Wanbao's Nov 5 report, they had also pointed out that the incident involved two gangs, with the victim being a fatality from a secret society clash.

Police investigations are currently ongoing, with five charged and 19 youths arrested in connection to the case .

WHILE MEANWHILE

There was another slashing case which happened @ Bukit Panjang

Eight youths, armed with parangs and metal rods, went around attacking 20 innocent bystanders last night (Nov 8) at Bukit Panjang.

Six of the bystanders were conveyed to the hospital, with four of them discharged for minor injuries. The other two suffered slashes to their neck and back. The victims were aged between 14 to 20 years old.

According to eyewitnesses, there were seven or eight attackers. They carried parangs and metal rods. Before attacking, they shouted 'sah lak kau' which means '369' in the Hokkien dialect.

The attackers were all very tall and of big build, with dark complexions. It was also reported that one of those involved in the skirmish but escaped unhurt was an 8-year-old boy who had encountered the youths after a game of football.

The father of one of those injured said, "After the Downtown East case, I asked my son to go home earlier. I did not expect my son to be attacked even when he went out just to play football."

Said STOMPer jo of the incident:

"Think after the first case at Downtown East, it's like a boost injection for all gang members...

"Apparently '369' members went to Bukit Panjang which is homeground to another gang 'Ba Hai Tong'.

Darren Ng Wei Jie (left) died from his injuries after being attacked with choppers at Downtown East.

Three of the four men arrested for the death of 19-year-old Darren Ng Wei Jie in Downtown East last weekend have been charged in court for murder.

The three men are 21-year-old Tang Jia Min, 20-year-old Ho Wui Ming and 19-year-old Chen Wei Zhen.

According to The Straits Times, the fourth man, 18-year-old Edward Tay Wei Loong, hit his head while putting up a struggle against the police, causing internal bleeding within the skull and is now in the intensive care unit of Changi General Hospital. He is currently in a neck brace and guarded by two police officers. He is not allowed to receive any visitors.

The four suspects — who are students and full-time national servicemen — were hiding in a chalet at the SAF Yacht Club in Tanah Merah Coast Road when the police came to arrest them.

The fight last Saturday reportedly started when Darren and his friends got into a staring incident with another group of about 10 teenagers at the Pasir Ris resort and amusement complex.

The incident then turned into a violent brawl and Darren is believed to have been slashed several times on his back, limbs and abdomen by his attackers, who were armed with choppers.

The second-year industrial and operations management student from Republic Polytechnic later died from his multiple stab wounds at Changi General Hospital.

According to Today, Darren’s father, Mr Francis Ng, said at his son’s memorial service last night, “My son died because of his love for his friends.”

Darren’s childhood friend, girlfriend, elder sister and parents took turns to give their eulogies of a “cheerful” young man with “a heart of gold” to a crowd of 400 friends and relatives.

3 charged with murder- DOWNTOWN EAST MURDER

THREE young men were charged in a district court on Wednesday with the Downtown East murder of a second-year Republic Polytechnic student last Saturday.

Ho Wui Ming, 20, Tang Jia Min, 21, and Chen Wei Zhen, 19, are accused of murdering Darren Ng Wei Jie, 19, at the main foyer of Downtown East at Pasir Ris Close between 5.30pm and 5.57pm.

They allegedly committed the offence with Edward Tay Wei Loong, 18, and several others while being part of an unlawful assembly.

Tay, who will be charged in hospital, had put up a struggle while trying to get away from the police and injured his head.

The prosecution asked for the trio to be remanded for further investigation. Ho, Tang and Chen will be back in court next Wednesday.

If convicted of murder, each of them faces the mandatory death penalty. Darren will be cremated on Wednesday afternoon.

We decided to go on a short gateway to BATAM

45 minutes Ferry ride over to the island

Awesome time especially with my companion.

We stayed over at HARRIS Resort (BATAM)

The place was pretty good

They have their new wing of rooms, catered to the youngsters

The older wing are the" family rooms"

Had a 3 hours session of SPA:

It included:

-Massage

-Scrub

-Milk Bath

Went for Foot Reflexology

Last minute decision

10 bucks, if i didn't remember wrongly, for 30 minutes worth of foot reflexology!

Fattybombom was screaming in pain!

As the resort is located 30 minutes away from the city

There was this paid shuttle bus that brought us to Nagoya Hill

The mall isn't that fantastic

Fashion is outdated as well

But the PRICE is definitely CHEAP!

But managed to buy a few clothing still (:

At Harris,

They had this Japanese + Korean Restaurant over at Harris

Worth trying(:

Look @ Harris's pool and you'll love it!

They have their Jacuzzi and Sauna also.

We tried their seafood too

I must say, the CRABS are DELICIOUS!

The sea, their settings did not look enticing at all

An article in Monday’s edition of The Straits Times entitled “S’poreans – too stressed to care?” gave me serious food for thought.

Its writer, Radha Basu, highlights how, despite the country’s technological prowess and generally high living standards, Singapore still falls short when it comes to basic human kindness such as donating time and money and caring for one another.

I read with shock when the writer gave two such examples — one in which fellow diners at an Ang Mo Kio food court took a whole hour before noticing that a 50-something-old man seated amongst them had died, and how a woman who had collapsed, frothing at the mouth, near Marsiling MRT station received little help from passers-by.

The article also shared how Singapore ranked 91 out of 153 nations in the World Giving Index (WGI) released last week. Singaporeans also averaged $48 in per capita donations last year, while the US hovered around $1,000. Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US topped the poll.

Another telling statistic was how a study revealed that Singaporeans spend 55 times as much time on leisure activities than they do on volunteering compared to 14 times for Americans.

I would like to further extend the discussion by asking the fundamental question of why are Singaporeans too stressed to care?

Could it be that the answer lies that Singaporeans are simply too caught up in their own frenetic lives to bother about others? Could it be that, with people being the only resource in this tiny country of ours, we are being maximised, body, mind and soul, to the fullest to meet and fulfil the economic needs of this country?

For example, to save cost, why hire more when one person can be retrained to up productivity and do the work of three? Why waste the potential of the elderly when we can increase the retirement age or have no retirement age at all?

My own personal view is that in pursuit of economic success, Singapore has, sadly, forgotten how to care for its neglected and disadvantaged. For better or worse, the government’s policies have, directly or indirectly, succeeded in churning out self-centred individuals who prioritize monetary wealth and status above all else.

The mindset that has been ingrained in our minds since primary and secondary school — with streaming, school and class rankings, ECAs, tuition and enrichment classes — is that to live in Singapore, getting ahead and staying ahead of the competition is key. Money, success and the 5 ‘C’ s will then follow.

And because time equates money, it will be a waste of time to help others who might have tripped down the stairs, or to stop and help a fellow commuter through an MRT train door. With barely enough time for one’s tired self, how to volunteer time for others on weekends?

From my own personal experience as a student, I confess that the pressure to excel in my studies caused me to block out all else. The only thing that mattered for me was getting good grades so I could land a job and forge a career that would pay well. Volunteerism? Bah, no time.

What about the mandatory CIP (Community Involvement Programme) at secondary and junior college level? I contend that it’s merely an avenue for the majority of students to get into the school’s good books for future admission to top schools and tertiary institutions.

Still, is being less caring and generous a symptom of Singapore’s time-starved society or does it apply to the wider Asian context too?

A friend from Brunei, Fatin Arrifin, 26, said, “We Bruneians are caring and helpful owing to our laid-back and easy-going lifestyles. We are known by tourists to be very hospitable. I think it also has much to do with our strong family ties.”

“Through all my travels, I notice that we Bruneians are not as calculative about money as compared to our other ASEAN friends,” he said.

A fellow colleague of mine, Karen Vera, who’s in her 30s and comes from the Philippines, said, “Filipinos avoid being rude at all costs because being rude reflects that you had a poor family upbringing and that you come from a family with bad manners.”

Having lived in Singapore for the past two years, she noticed Singaporeans “tend to rely on the government too much for direction and initiative” even when it comes to basic human courtesies like saying “please” and “thank you”.

Ken Tran, a Vietnamese national in his 20s, said, “Generally speaking, Vietnamese are actually nice people. They will assist those who ask for it.”

However, having lived in Singapore for the past 4 years, he found that Singaporeans are generally considerate.

“In every society, you have the considerate and the not-so-considerate people. But I have no issues with the manners of Singaporeans,” he said.

In spite of my observations, I do see a glimmer of hope.

The government is realising, perhaps belatedly, that to have tall, shiny new buildings dotting the city skyline amounts to nothing if its people don’t have the generosity and kindness to match.

As Acting Minister of the Information, Communication and the Arts Lui Tuck Yew said last month, “Only then can we fully proclaim we have moved from Third Word to First World”.

I also realise to label all Singaporeans as uncaring and rude would be unfair.

You only need to look at the generous outpouring of donations by average Singaporeans during the 2004 Huang Na murder case or shining examples of philantropists like Creative chairman Sim Wong Hoo or UOB chairman Wee Cho Yaw to realise generous spirits do exist – but they are too few and far in between.

At the end of the day, what kind of Singapore do we want for ourselves?

A society that continues to place more emphasis on productivity and competition so as to fuel the country’s ever-higher growth targets — which, I might add, inadvertently leads to lower fertility rates and less caring but more tired citizens?

Or, a cultured society that places importance on softer skills like human grace and compassion and the ability to balance both work and family?

At the end of the day, I believe Singapore cannot have both.

TOKYO - A Japanese labor bureau has ruled that one of Toyota Motor Corp.'s top car engineers died from working too many hours, the latest decision against overwork in Japan, where stoic acceptance of extended overtime has long been the norm.

The man who died was aged 45 and had been under severe pressure as the lead engineer in developing a hybrid version of Toyota's blockbuster Camry line, said Mikio Mizuno, the lawyer representing his wife. His identity is being withheld at the request of his family, who continue to live in Toyota City where the company is based.

In the two months up to his death, he averaged more than 80 hours of overtime per month, the criteria for overwork, according to Mizuno.

He regularly worked nights and weekends, was frequently sent abroad and was grappling with shipping a model for the influential North American International Auto Show in Detroit when he died of ischemic heart disease in January 2006. His daughter found his body at their home the day before he was to leave for the United States.

The ruling was handed down June 30 and will allow his family to collect benefits from his work insurance, Mizuno said.

An officer at the Aichi Labor Bureau on Wednesday confirmed the ruling, but declined to comment on the record.

In a statement, Toyota offered its condolences and said it would work to improve monitoring of the health of its workers.

The ruling is the most recent in a string of decisions against long working hours in Japan, which is struggling to cut down on deaths from overworking, known as "karoshi." Such deaths have steadily increased since the Health Ministry first recognized the phenomenon in 1987.

Last year, a court in central Japan ordered the government to pay compensation to Hiroko Uchino, the wife of a Toyota employee who collapsed at work and died at age 30 in 2002. She took the case to court after her application to the local labor bureau for compensation was rejected.

This thought came to mind

Why must there be only one winner?

Like isn't it cruel to the 1st runner?

after giving their 100 % and some even 101%

going all out and just at the last moment

They lost.

and known as the "losers" for the finals

Isn't that CRUEL?

I know it is reality.

But still.....

it's hurtful.

maybe they should not have world cup /competition! HAHA!

On the flip side of the coin,

found out something interesting yesterday

Went to do a mini research on it.

Ever heard of Paul the Octopus?

Mani the Parrot?

These two animals got famous with FIFA World Cup 2010

I find these stories really interesting.

It is known that they are able to predict who will win in the soccer matches

Something like soccer prediction.

How much do you guys believe in them?

I find it bizarre

And in fact,

it bothers me quite a lot

Like how true and accurate are the predictions?

Why are they able to do it and how?

British in origin, the 2-year-old octopus named Paul has been predicting the results of

Germany's matches since the World Cup began back in June.

Paul, a resident of the Sea Life Aquarium in Oberhausen, Germany, has been 100% accurate so far.

His proven predictions to date include a German victory over Australia and Ghana; the German loss to Serbia; the German win over England and the defeat of Argentina.

Shockingly, for tonight's match, GERMANY VS SPAIN.

Paul the Octopus took its turn towards Spain's Flag.

Our psychic bird selected Holland, Uruguay, Germany and Spain - all choices which were vindicated over the weekend.

However,

Mani predicted that

Uruguay Vs Holland – Uruguay Wins

Which was WRONG.

Cos Holland won Uruguay with a score of 3-2!

This was the only mistake by Mani.

Can we still trust its prediction in the coming match later?

So what does all these portend?

Is it just coincidence or do these animals really have the skills/gift?

and next was CHINA!

initially,

Honestly,

I didn't know what to expect from this OCIP trip

and i realised many people don't know what is OCIP

It stands for overseas community involvement program.

all that was running through my mind before and during the flight was:

" how am i going to survive in CHINA? everyone is speaking Mandarin

and their food?"

In fact,

Back then,

I was feeling scared and also upset with myself cos i would not be able to see fattybombom enlist.

There were two segments to our OCIP.

1)We taught at RUYANG Primary school for 6 days( P1-P6)

2)Followed by 2-3 days at the SHIBAPAN village ( kindergarten)

At China (Ruyang)

We stayed there from 2nd-15thjune

Teaching the kids wasn't as easy as i thought.

We need to have lots of patience , care

And really to put ourselves in the shoes of the kids to understand and help them

I learn a lot from their China Chinese culture and definitely from the kids i taught.

the kids in china are really innocent and adorable!

They are always so carefree.

And one thing about the china people(hosts)

They really go all out to make you feel at home.

While @ the village..

the 2 days at the village was a challenge for me.

Their living condition was bad enough

Making things worst,

they don't care about personal hygiene .

was having mixed feelings

Like whether to give my very best to the village kids or just simply let it be?

On one hand, they looked really innocent and pitiful

While on the other hand, they looked like they didn't wash up for months.

Fluids were dripping up and down of their nose as they breathe in and out.

In fact,

I was confused for a moment.

Eventually

Looking @ their plight

and to understand how blessed i am

I made the choice

I overcome my fears and gave my very best to the village kids, holding and caring for them

We were not really able to communicate with the village kids since they are only kindergarten and they yet to learn putong Mandarin

the 3rd day

We went visiting the villagers house

Once again,

the living condition of those houses is something we can never find in SINGAPORE.

they have farming, rearing of pigs, chickens, cows etc.

Now i fully understand the real meaning of rural life.

Indeed,

It was an eye opener for me.

I was thinking to myself

" if ever, someone were to give you 1 million to stay in such condition for life"

Would anybody do it?

I definitely won't!

Other than teaching,

Our team had R & R as well

We went mountain climbing!

We conquered the XI TAI SHAN mountain of height 15oom,

At the peak

in singapore,

No mountain is comparable to that!

There were like countless steps. goodness!

But i'm glad

I conquered it despite my legs aching badly after that (:

WHOAH!

yes!

not missing out something very important,

SHOPPING!

Shopping at ruyang or maybe whole of CHINA makes you feel like a KING!

It's dirt cheap!

Bought quite a lot of shoes from Ruyang since their fashion for clothes were a bit ah hem* outdated.

And @ shanghai then clothing.

and we went for their full body massage one day after climbing the mountain!

On the 2nd last day at Ruyang

A couple of us went to their KTV

And sang for 6 hours straight!

A total of 120 songs!

that was fun and crazy!

and it merely cost each person around 4 bucks $?

(5th june) Fattybombom enlisted into army. I was really hoping things are going well for him, that he is able to adapt and stuff.

On the 15th june

8 of us headed to shanghai while the remaning 5 of them headed back to Singapore

some of us took the plane, while some took the slow train to shanghai.

after the flight from zhengzhou to shanghai,

Edwin see and i took the maglev train

The train which would go up to 400km/h

but since when we took at night, the fastest it could go was 301km/h.

then it's shopping, shopping and more shopping.

Those who took the train reached shanghai the next day.

We all headed to the shanghai expo together

Goodness!

There were so many many many people!

queues were so long!

Managed to see some of the pavilions

the different pavilions.

AWESOME!

Singapore pavilion wasn't the most magnificent one yet it left a deep impression in me.

Prolly songs are better modes of conveying messages.

Shopping @ Shanghai QIPULU was totally crazy!

fantastic place to shop, good bargains but one negative aspect, you can't try on):

at the end of the trip,

experienced this weird , awkward feeling which maybe i 'm thinking too much!

Julian, Edwin, Kimberely and I went to their club one of the days.

It was known as BABYFACE in the past

But now,

they changed to RICHBABY!

Shanghai club was really different,

They have really good, and up to date music but bad bad crowd and people!

I'm on the train right now
Heading back to sembawang to get my fringe cut before I go for china
So many things happened for the past two days.
took the typhoid injection on tuesday with Edwin and ziyi
Man!
I was freaking out
I was so nervous
I didn't take injections since 2002 I think?
Finally was done
My right hand felt weird right after it!
And when the doctor did a medical examination
She said I should eat more! Cos my bmi is too low- 18.75 .

After everything
Headed down to find fattybombom
His bike slid when doing dirt bike course
His whole scrambler fell on his feet
It was as swollen as a pig trotter!
gabriel was there too.
Luckily he was there to carry fattybombom.
bought him to the nearest 24 hrs clinic
Doctor suspected might be a fracture.
Gave a letter for him to go to any hospital A & E department .
Supposedly to meet xt and alf for supper
eventually alf drove us to tan tock seng hospital .

I feel so sad for the boy's parents and himself.

Maybe I should pursue my degree along the counsellor line and along hospital sectors.

yea! i'm back from Genting since last wed.

But i'm going to be leaving soon once again for China , and worst,17 days!

Genting was pretty good.

But if a person doesn't gamble, all he/she can do is eat, sleep, theme park. shop.

That's all!

Haha!

First day(17th May)

After 6-7 hours of coach ride

We finally reached out destination-Genting

And man!

The check in counter for travel agency was crazy!

We had to wait like 2 hours plus before our queue number was called.

We had dinner together, followed by arcade.

Fattybombom and I headed to the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum

the rest did not want to go for it.

It was an eye-opening experience for both of us.

They have like so many stuffs, so many things that i didn't know or realised that they existed

The temperature there though was a disappointment.

Expected it to be colder ):

We had supper almost for the two days!

Second day (18th May)

woke up early for breakfast

Fattybombom & I did not joined them for the hotel breakfast.

We had something else

Their nasi lemak is really NICE(:

Followed by the outdoor theme park

Thank God!

It did not rain.

And ...and...

funniest thing that happened.

A few/most of us got sunburn!

imagine getting sunburn @ Genting!

First time in my whole life

Tried really exciting rides like.....

And luckily their corkscrew(roller coaster) were under maintenance for only a few hours

We managed to catch that ride!

I forgotten who suggested to eat ice-cream and walk outside back to the hotel!

And that's what we really did!

Each of us bought an ice cream each and started taking off our jackets and walked outside back to our hotel!

The three guys were even crazier!

They took off their t-shirts!

It was time to get our asses back to Singapore

We had our late lunch

the long coach ride back!

It delayed our journey back

We waited for like 30 minutes for another coach to come.

And then back to SINGAPORE.

It wasn't that good.

I was super shocked when we ordered different set meals but everything that appeared on the table was the same except for the sauce

Like CURRY CHICKEN CUTLET RICE -they gave this small plate of curry

Sweet & Sour Chicken RICE- they gave this small plate of sweet and sour sauce.

Recently, my right eye is giving me problems

Can't see things clearly especially with spectacles.( mainly with spectacles only)

results: my right eyes has infection.

Got to stop wearing lenses for at least 2 weeks.

OMG!

BAD!

So people,

It does not mean if your eyes are not red ( like in my case), means you don't have an infection.

Please go get it check or stop wearing lenses if you feel uncomfortable.

Then we headed to people's park centre to get my passport back

Due to my blur-ness,

got to make a second trip down!

I realised dating in singapore is so BORING?

Met Ilona in the morning

her dad drove us down to Botanic Gardens

We had to do her photoshoot for her project

Her friend helped to take the pictures and videos.

Rushed home to prepare for camp

Had a pre-bonding camp with my OCIP mates!

We had dinner @Food for Thought near SMU

Their food was average and normal.

But they serve really good pastries especially their apple crumble.

We had ice breakers, games and stuffs.

I believe the objectives of the camp were met!

We headed to thomson area for prata

Then we headed to 313 SOMERSET to meet RONG

We went shopping @ 313 and FAR EAST

And after so so long

And I'm still hesitating if i should buy the whole floral spag and black floral shorts from FOREVER 21.

Initially

We decided on this thai restaurant for dinner

However, I had some bad impression on their hygiene issues but couldn't really remembered what was it about

When we entered and occupied the first table

We saw like one baby cockroach

We were like :" WHAT THE"

So we decided to shift to another table

And that's when we saw another baby cockroach, this time much bigger one.

That's when we said : " let's have dinner at somewhere else"

Like seriously

Damn gross!

Totally YUCKY!

Don't ever go to that restaurant!

TERRIBLE!

We settled with the Hainanese chicken rice before taking a long bus ride home

I gave tuition after that.

Wednesday

Went to school for a short meeting regarding OCIP

Went to meet Fattybombom at his place

We watched a documentary

They were wearing this white band on their hand for recognition purpose.

For the past two weeks

Had not party!

It's been mugging and tuition .

But three weeks back,

Met Alvin for dinner

He is flying off soon for one YEAR!

Then

Headed to Powerhouse with Benjamin, Jo, her friend , Jamie

Had a secondary school gathering

After that session

My whole body was aching like MAD!

We had at last 50 % of 4e1 people turning up (:

Glad to see everyone doing well and fine!

Brought jockey along too as i was driving

Felt weird heading to the clubs / KTV @ clarke Quey on a TUESDAY

And on April Fool,

I got pranked by ALFRED KEM!

Had been reading too stories on STOMP.

Alfred Kem told me he saw my face on STOMP for not giving up my seats to this pregnant woman!

I was like : "SURE A NOT? CANNOT BE "

I was panicking like MAD!

And i had a quiz on that day which I had not finished studying I was hoping to read through some notes on the MRT

Instead of reading, I was busy surfing STOMP to check out what KEM just mentioned

Then he told me APRIL FOOL!

I was like! ARG!

Visited Fattybombom's Dad @ the hospital weeks back.

His dad had an operation-It was a heart attack.

Something so ironic, His dad is a dragon boater ,exercises and eats healthier

Lesson learn: Anybody would be hit by any illness or disease anytime and anywhere.So please cherish your life and don't take things for granted

They had this really good band but i think it's available on FRI/SAT/SUN

On Sunday (18th April )

Headed to Fatty bombom's place

Helped him to wash his bike!

While washing the bike together, I realised that bikes are terrible!

HAHAH!

Firstly, it is dangerous as compared to cars

Second, washing bikes are worst than washing cars, you have to really scrub the dirt and carbon.

Third, when it rains, that's it! You can't really ride.

Fourth, you can only have one passenger while for cars maximum of 4 exclusive of drivers.

Fattybombom has decided to go take his car license!

YAY!

Fattybombom's sis got back from Taiwan and brought me these!

He has been in this line for 4 years and initially i was quite happy cos he is finally quitting.

But on second thought-

he really loves been a bartender and now he is taking up this morning

oil rig job which he has no interest @ all?

So our final decision is that he will only work once a week @ Rebel and continue the day job

Despite our major and minor tiffs,

Fattybombom is still nice to me!
